A
passion for cycling that
started in the mid
seventies and has by now become a tradition; a passion that increased with the many prestigious successes, culminating in
1979 with the victory of
Gianni Giacomini in the Amateur Road Cycling
World Championship in Valkemburg (Holland).
After a period of activity devoted just to the recreational categories, in the years
1992/1994 the mark De Nardi is present on the uniforms of the
ZG Mobili professional (with Faresin, Ghirotto, Perini, etc.).
Always in
1994, the De Nardi re-enters to the amateur cycling world and returns immediately to the tops of the national scene.
With more than
300 victories among the amateurs since its foundation, in
1999 the team sponsored De Nardi turned professional, entering the Sports Teams
(GS) III: success was immediate with first place in the UCI world classification, which was maintained until mid
2000.
In
2001 the Team passed to the
GS II and won the World Championship with Olexandr Fedenko in the team pursuit track race.
In the season
2002 the Team reserve itself a prominent position in the international cycle scene, thanks to the fifteen victories (someone of great value) and to the ninth place in the UCI GS II classification.
In
2003 starts the relationship with the Gianluigi Stanga’s society and is born the new Team De Nardi – Colpack: the eleven successes achieved and the many placings, among which the victory in the prestigious last stage of the Giro D’Italia and the seventh place in the final classification, have allowed to finish the season to the second place in the UCI classification of GS II, obtaining therefore the
promotion in GSI, the maximum category of the international professional cycling.
The
2004 starts with a big news for the Team De Nardi: the inclusion in the staff, as sports director, of one of the best-beloved riders of the last years, the world's multi-champion
Gianni Bugno. The season will remain in the De Nardi history for
the best than ever result obtained by its mark:
the second place in the final classification of the Giro d’Italia, preceded by the victory of the 13th stage, with Serhiy Honchar.
In
2005 the De Nardi becomes sponsor-partner of the Team
Domina Vacanze, always directed by Gianluigi Stanga and taking part to the new circuit Uci ProTour.
In the two years period
2006/2007, the collaboration goes on with the Team
Milram, that sees in its organization two champions of such stature as
Alessandro Petacchi and
Erik Zabel.

Since
2008, season of the 40th company anniversary, to 2010 De Nardi returns to the origins and match its own mark with one of more long-lived Italian amateur teams, the society
U.C. Bergamasca 1902, from over one hundred years forge of young promises.
